Fun fact: My father taught the Germans how to fly the F-4 in the last US F-4 squadron. He got to retire them to the boneyard back in 2005.

I love those smoky old birds. I remember seeing the Blue Angels when they flew the F-4, probably in the last year of use before transitioning to the A-4. The Phantom was the only aircraft flown by both the Blues and the Thunderbirds.
